Gift Boxes for Purim
The Halachah on Purim is to send Manot "portions" to one's friend and give charity to the needy. These beautifully decorated boxes will enclose the ready to eat portions of food sent on this joyous holiday. Some prepare home made food for consumption at the Seudah, others enclose delicious sweets, candies and often a bottle of wine. The idea is that since the Jews in ancient Persia were under threat of decimation because they were divided, these actions promote brotherly love and good will, always a good thing!
