Children intuitively know that the Shofar is an integral expression of Jewish identity. So, of course, they want to own a Shofar, to learn to blow it and imitate the sounds they hear in the Synagogue on Rosh Hashonah. A Shofar makes a beautiful Bar Mitzvah or Chanukah gift. It forms a connection with the past and strengthens children’s ties with their precious heritage.

Barsheshet-Ribak is an Israeli shofar company dating back hundreds of years, passed from father to son, who painstakingly craft the shofars with dedication and reverence for this spiritual item. Their shofars reflect unequalled beauty and quality craftsmanship recognized by shofar collectors and religious communities worldwide.

My husband is an excellent Shofar blower so I got these for the kids so that they wouldn't be using his shofar. must say very disappointed. It took a long time for them to master the blowing and my husband had to sit with them. They got it in the end and they are on the way to becoming top blowers but I think the text should have warned that small shofar are more difficult to blow.

my favorite posession

I am ten years old and my mam said I should write a review. I love having my own Shofar. I learnt quick and now I love it. My mam has given me blowing times. Otherwise she will take it from me.

bought this as a birthday gift for my son - he wanted so much to learn to blow the shofar. It took ages till he got the hang of the blowing. Now he manages but my advice to aJudaica is - tell your customers that it takes time to master to learn how to blow a Shofar but dont despair!

Kids shofars

We got a whole bunch of these for our grandchildren , and although they don't really blow, the kids were delighted to have their own shofars to take to shul for Rosh Hashana services
